Kersey Industries is a contract manufacturer which focuses on small precision components and assemblies as well as prototyping of new parts. Our operation is optimized for small parts which fit in the palm of your hand which require CNC milling or Swiss lathe operations along with secondary processes such as cylindrical grinding, centerless grinding, laser engraving, polishing.
The quantities we deal with are considered high-mix low volume, part quantities are often 25-200 parts. Quality is ensured using techniques such as first article inspections, along with a large assortment of metrology equipment and gages.
Small parts manufacturing is our primary focus.
CNC Swiss Turning
For small turned parts CNC Swiss turning is often the optimal choice for it’s speed and precision, this process also allows for slender diameter to length ratios not achievable by conventional Lathes.
The automation that our Swiss Lathes provide can lead to cost savings for your projects by utilizing an automatic 12ft bar feeder for long unattended run-times, and the sub-spindle can often produce parts machined complete or with reduced secondary operations.
Swiss Lathes require precision ground material and this often increases the lead time and reduces the available material choices, but because we have in-house centerless grinding we can more quickly obtain bar-stock and grind them ourself for small batch sizes.

Cylindrical Grinding
For improved accuracy and surface finish we offer cylindrical grinding of your parts as a secondary machining operation:

- 5 inch max external diameter, 12 inch between centers.
- 7 degree swivel for tapers.
Centerless Grinding
For optimal accuracy and production speeds we offer centerless grinding, many parts cannot be held between centers or in a chuck. For these parts our centerless grinding service should be considered.
We offer both through-feed grinding of parts that have a consistent diameter along the length, and in-feed grinding for parts that have shoulders and multiple diameters. form grinding of tapered parts is also a possibility.
